I am in total agreement. I know it's been said before countless times, but when bronies ponify things, it looks totally ridiculous, and shows both unoriginality and a need for attention, because bronies just know that if they draw something involving a pony, it'll get hundreds of instant favourites - even if they have to make a pony out of something else that is popular. Their shameless pony hunger never ends, and it's just sad. Really, really sad.
haven't you even think she draw ponies because she actually LIKES ponies and not because of the visits? and in this case it was a commission, so if you want to blame someone for this you should blame the customer
Of course. I'm such a horrible person for insulting something I deem to be unappealing! What you may call "insulting like hysteric" (wonderful grammar, might I add), I call basic expression of opinion. Call me a BIG MEEN ROOD TROLLER all you wish, it certainly won't make me respect the artist, her "art" or the people that like her any more.
what, another hater? what all of you have against this art? 0_0 a lot of people is asking this artist for commissions every day and her skills deserves all that money, so I ask you too what is the problem?
>what all of you have against this art? 0_0 Because I think it looks like absolute shit. I am allowed to have my own fucking opinion.
>so I ask you too what is the problem? The problem is that I find it disgusting that people are actually paying money for the bastard hybrid of a shitty animu-styled pony and a pokemon. On top of that, MySweetQueen does not own the copyright on My Little Pony or Pokemon, and she is making money off of it, which directly violates copyright law.
I find the blend between real horse anatomy and My Little Pony anatomy to be ridiculous and horrid. The coloring style is awkward, making it look like a plastic toy rather than a living creature. It's like the artist can't pull off MLP:FiM-styled ponies and can't pull off realism, so they bashed the two styles together in the hopes that it would provide the best of both. However, it has effectively provided the absolute worst of both. And i'm not even going to get into how abhorrent mixing MLP with everything in existence is.
I was under the impression that the sole reason was because of the theme...I'm glad to see that I was mistaken in that regard.
Now that I take a closer look, I can see what you are getting at with the style...though I think there is a chance that the art may have been made that way due to the horse being part Blastoise...
I still don't see what's so bad about mixing MLP with other things is, but I won't press the subject...everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and you have no obligation to explain your reasoning to me. Thanks for answering!
The problem here is that SHE IS MAKING MONEY OFF OF AN ALREADY EXISTING COPYRIGHT. The keyword here being MAKING MONEY. MAKING. MONEY. Having to explain basic copyright law to a deviantART user is like trying to explain quantum theory to a chimpanzee.
You are confusing copyright with trademark. You don't copyright characters, you trademark them. When a individual makes a piece of art they hold the copyright. When you wish to have the rights to a character you trademark. Meaning that in turn Nintendo holds the trademark to blastoise, whereas the artist holds the copyright to the actual art.
